Boston College Men’s Soccer Snatches Draw From No. 1 Virginia

At the Newton Campus Soccer and Lacrosse Complex, the Boston College Eagles managed a 1-1 draw against the mighty No. 1 Virginia Cavaliers Friday night.

The game was a lopsided one, with Virginia outshooting BC 21-3 with a 10-1 shot on goal disparity. In fact it was Virginia who scored first in the 57th minute. Spencer Patton put a shot past Christian Garner to give the Hoos the 1-0 lead.

However, the Eagles would get great fortune of their own. Andreas Ueland was charged with an own goal in the 65th minute, which tied the game for the Eagles.
