A strong effort by the Boston College Eagles went for naught Friday evening as Louisville defeated the Eagles 3-2 in overtime in Louisville.
The Eagles got on the board early in the seventh minute. Stefan Siguardson got a cross from Tyshan Rose and put a header into the net to give the Eagles the early 1-0 lead. It was the only goal scored in the first half.
The second half, however, got crazy. Izaiah Jennings tied it up in the 47th minute. The Eagles, however, would answer. Siguardson scored his second of the game, again on a feed from Tyshan Rose in the 72nd minute, giving the Eagles the 2-1 lead.
