Boston College Men’s Soccer Blanked by Pittsburgh 2-0

A strong effort from Pittsburgh midfielder Velijko Petkovic sunk the Boston College Eagles Friday night in Newton as the Eagles fell to the Panthers 2-0 at the Soccer/Lacrosse complex.

The scoring started in the latter part of the first half. Petkovic tallied his first contribution in the scoresheet on a set piece. Petkovic received a touch from teammate Valentin Noel and put the goal past goalkeeper Giacomo Piccardo.

The Panthers scored the dagger late in the second half. Petkovic sent a through ball to Alexander Dexter, who put the ball past Piccardo, giving the Panthers their second gaol and Petkovic the assist.
