Boston College Men’s Hockey Falls to #1 Denver

Related Topics: Denver, Boston College, penalty

Spencer Knight did his best, making 28 saves and allowing only 1 goal, but the Boston College men’s hockey team fell to #1 Denver by a score of 3-0 tonight. This is BC’s first loss of the season.

As has been the case for the past few year, penalties were the killer for BC. The Eagles had 23 penalty minutes to Denver’s 6, and the game-winning goal was scored on a power-play tip-in after Luke McInnis earned a game misconduct for cross-checking. Denver’s 2 other goals were both scored in the final minute of play on an empty net.
