The Boston College Eagles’ game against Virginia Tech wasn’t pretty. It resulted in Jared Hamilton and Nik Popovic leaving the game early with an injury. But, thanks to the efforts by Steffon Mitchell, the Eagles left Blacksburg Saturday afternoon with a win, completing a season sweep of the Hokies.
The win was the Eagles’ fifth road win of the season, which is the most since the 2010-11 season.
Regulation was a back and forth affair that went down to the wire. In the final seconds of regulation, Jairus Hamilton fouled Nahiem Alleyne who drained two free throws to evaporate a two point BC lead to force overtime.
