Second week, same season, Eagles roll over Big Ten foe as the shutout streak begins
Well, as we found out last week, there simply haven't been too many times Boston College has played on September 5, so it stands to reason that there won't be many times BC has played on September 12 either. But the best of those efforts came on September 12, 1992, when BC thrashed Northwestern 49-0. The win began a streak of three consecutive shutouts which had not happened since 1942 and hasn't happened since.
Now this was not a great Northwestern team.
