NEWTON, Mass. – The third-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels topped the Boston College women's soccer team, 3-0, on Thursday night at the Newton Campus Fields.
Maycee Bell scored in the eighth minute for UNC off of a corner kick and then Lotte Wubben-Moy converted a penalty kick 11 minutes later. The Tar Heels would hold the 2-0 lead at the break.
Twenty minutes into the second half, had BC's best look when she got in behind UNC's back line for a solid shot on goal, but Claudia Dickey was equal to it. Rachel Jones scored the Tar Heels third goal in the 80th minute for the final 3-0 score.
