ORONO, Maine – Marc McLaughlin scored his team-high 18th goal of the season, but Boston College dropped a 4-1 final to Maine in Hockey East play on Friday night at Alfond Arena.
Eagles fell to 10-11-4 (5-8-3 HEA), while the Black Bears improved to 4-14-4 (2-10-2 HEA).
Maine took the lead at the 6:39 mark of the first period when Jakub Sirota beat Eric Dop blocker side through a screen from the right wing faceoff circle.
The Eagles nearly answered on the following shift but Eamon Powell hit the left post with a snap shot from between the circles.
