Boston College Men’s Hockey came into the Hockey East championship game riding a wave of optimism that had come seemingly out of nowhere. After limping into the Hockey East tournament, BC took down the league’s #2 and #1 seeds to make it to the finals, and they’d have to take down #3 to win the title and advance to the NCAA tournament. But BC came up just short, falling into an early 3-0 hole that they could never fully climb out of, as Northeastern took the Hockey East title with a 3-2 win.
The first period just started out all wrong for BC.
