Boston College Defeats UNH 3-2 in Overtime

The Boston College men’s hockey team defeated UNH in overtime tonight, splitting the weekend series and taking home the extra point. The Eagles were without Alex Newhook and Logan Hutsko, so the lines were fairly shuffled up, but Spencer Knight did play.

The first period started off on a good pace for the Eagles as they generated some chances in front of the UNH net and outshot the Wildcats 5-2. Mike Hardman took a penalty about halfway through the period, which BC was able to kill fairly easily and even got some shorthanded chances themselves. BC broke the ice first, when Casey Carreau threw a puck on net from far that snuck in five-hole to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
