Boston College baseball swept by Louisville

After living charmed lives over the first three weeks of the season, Boston College baseball suffered its first major setback, getting swept by the #15 Louisville Cardinals in a three-game set down in Kentucky over the weekend.

The Eagles’ best chance to pick up a win came in the finale on Sunday, after their “opener” Joe Vetrano threw two scoreless innings, followed by Alex Stiegler who gave up four runs over three innings left the game with the score tied 4-4.

BC opened up a lead in the 7th inning when Vince Cimini hit a two run double to put BC up 6-4, feeling good about their chances to come home with a victory.
