CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Former Boston College women's basketball head coach Cathy Inglese passed away Wednesday night, one week after suffering a brain injury in a fall.
"It's such a sad day for our Boston College community with Cathy's passing," said William V. Campbell Director of Athletics Martin Jarmond. "Cathy had a tremendously positive influence on the student-athletes she coached at BC and led our program to championship heights. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends."
Inglese was head coach for Boston College for 13 seasons from 1993-2008.
