BRIGHTON, Mass. – Boston College freshman hit her first career grand slam to lead the Eagles past non-conference foe Quinnipiac, 8-0, in five innings at the Harrington Athletics Village on Tuesday afternoon.
Boston College improved to 8-14 on the season, while Quinnipiac dropped to 4-15. BC will host Providence tomorrow at 4 p.m. Fans can watch the game on the ACC Network Extra.
Boccagno, who leads the team with six home runs, came to the plate in the fourth inning with the bases loaded. On a 3-and-1 count, Boccagno sent the ball over the center field fence to score , and scored to give BC a 7-0 lead.
