Black Bears Break Out in Second Period to Beat BC

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Maine used a three-goal second period to seize control against Boston College en route to a 7-2 victory in Hockey East play on Wednesday night at Kelley Rink. The Black Bears had seven different goal scorers and improved to 8-11-2 (4-5-2 HEA).

The loss snapped a seven-game winning streak for the Eagles dating back to 2015 against the Black Bears as BC dropped to 7-11-2 overall and 7-3-2 in the league.

David Cotton and Jack McBain scored the two Boston College goals on the night, while Ryan Edquist made his second start of the year in net and finished with 33 saves.
