CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Bibllani Liu finished in a tie for 40th place after the opening rounds of stroke play at the 121st U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, held at the Westchester C.C. in Rye, N.Y. By virtue of her finish in the top 64, Liu advances to the match play format, teeing off at 11:30 a.m. ET against Grace Summerhays. The match play rounds will air live on Golf Channel from 2-5 p.m. ET.
Liu was 3-over par over the two rounds of play, carding an opening round 74 on Monday, followed by a 1-over 73 during Tuesday's 18 holes of competition.
