The Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA), a union of the best women’s hockey players in the world working toward the formation of a single, viable women’s hockey league, announced today via press release a series of showcase events called the “Dream Gap Tour.”
Our friends over at The Ice Garden have a breakdown of the full announcement, but buried in the press release was an interesting tidbit that the PWHPA would also be playing an exhibition game against Boston College at Conte Forum on September 21st.
The PWHPA is not a league but a player’s union, with most of the best players on the planet joining together to push toward a viable professional league.
