GREENSBORO, N.C. – The ACC has announced its ACC preseason poll, with Boston College field hockey selected to finish third, as voted on by the ACC coaches. Senior Fusine Govaert and sophomore Margo Carlin were both selected as Preseason All-ACC players as well.
North Carolina was selected to win the conference, receiving six first-place votes and 48 points with Virginia being picked second with 37 points. BC earned 30 points, while Syracuse was the only team other than UNC to garner a first-place vote.
Last season, Govaert had her best season yet at BC, posting career-highs in goals (8), assists (8) and points (24).
