Box Score BOSTON – Goals from Drew Helleson and Marshall Warren led a furious third period comeback, but No. 8 seed Boston College fell one goal short in a 3-2 defeat to top seed and regular season champion Northeastern in the Hockey East Quarterfinal on Saturday night at Matthews Arena.
The Eagles close the 2021-22 season with a record of 15-18-5, while the Huskies advance to the Hockey East Semifinal at 25-11-1.
Down 3-0 entering the third period, the Eagles out-shot the Huskies 25-9 and had several chances to tie the game in the closing minutes with Eric Dop (33 saves) pulled for an extra skater.
