Bats Stay Hot and Eagles Take Down Merrimack in Seven Innings

BRIGHTON, Mass. -- Boston College Baseball (8-6, 0-3) took down Merrimack (3-11, 1-2) in a mid-week showdown, winning via run rule, 17-7 after seven innings. Merrimack took a 2-0 lead in the opening frame, but the Eagles responded with three in the bottom of the first and never looked back.

The offense began with an RBI double from Cameron Leary (Bethpage, N.Y.), and continued with an RBI single from Vince Cimini (Scranton, Pa.) and a sacrifice fly from Parker Landwehr (Baltimore, Md.) to give BC a 3-2 lead that they would not relinquish.
