Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Boston College graduate John Gorman was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Baseball Team, the league announced on Monday. The right-handed pitcher earned the honor of the first time in his career.
The Norwood, Mass., native was drafted in the 31st round of the 2015 Major League Baseball First-Year Players Draft by the Oakland Athletics earlier in June. In two appearances in the Arizona Rookie League, he has not allowed a hit, run or walk in two innings.
Gorman earned his marketing degree from the Carroll School of Management.
