DURHAM, N.C. – The No. 20 Boston College Eagles took down Virginia Tech SCORE in the first game of Pool C play in the ACC Championship. Led by a defensive masterclass from Barry Walsh, and nine combined RBI from Nick Wang and Joe Vetrano, the Eagles will face Clemson on Friday with a trip to the ACC Semifinal on the line.
Virginia Tech opened the scoring in the top of the first after a leadoff walk gave way to a Brody Donay sacrifice fly, making it 1-0. The Hokies extended their lead to three in the third inning, but the Eagles' bats began humming in the bottom of the frame.
