GREENVILLE, NC – The Boston College softball team shutout the East Carolina Pirates 1-0 Saturday evening.
How It Happened:
The contest started out as a pitchers duel, with a scoreless tie through two innings. only allowed one hit over those first two innings, tossing two strikeouts in the process.
Skip ahead to the top of the third inning, where led off with a single to left field. followed up with a walk, and put down a sacrifice bunt to move the runners over. With two runners in scoring position, hit a slow roller to first base.
