AMESBURY, Mass. –Boston College women's hockey freshman Abby Newhook has been named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for February, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Newhook finished the month of February with eight points on four goals and four assists. The forward had three multi-point outings in the month and fired 20 shots on goal and had a plus-3 rating and three blocked shots. Newhook scored one goal and one assist BC's semifinal win over No. 3 Northeastern in the Beanpot Tournament semifinal, had another one-goal, one-assist performance in a win at New Hampshire and then had two assists in comeback win over Merrimack.
