CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – A total of 16 former Boston College men's hockey players have earned a spot on NHL Opening Night rosters as the 2023-24 season begins tonight across the league.
Skating for new teams this season are Patrick Brown (Boston), Brian Dumoulin (Seattle), Kevin Hayes (St. Louis), Alex Newhook (Montreal), Miles Wood (Colorado). Dumoulin skates tonight in his Kraken debut against the defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights at 10:30 p.m. (ET).
Boston College led Hockey East and ranked second among Division I schools behind only Minnesota with 25 former players who reached the NHL level last season.
