NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Mike Posma scored his first career goal in the opening two minutes and 14th-ranked Boston College never looked back on Friday night in a 4-1 Hockey East victory over Merrimack at Lawler Rink to begin a home-and-home series.
The Eagles won their seventh straight meeting against the Warriors (3-6-0, 1-5-0 HEA), improving to 3-1-0 in Hockey East play with 10 points and 5-3-1 overall.
Drew Helleson and Brandon Kruse each netted his second goal of the year in the victory, while Eric Dop posted his third win as an Eagle with 23 saves.
