The writing is on the wall that the Celtics will need to part ways with at least one or two top players on their roster this summer to get under the second apron of the NBA’s luxury tax.
Both Jrue Holiday ($32.4 million salary in 2025-26) and Kristaps Porzingis ($30.7 million) stand as the two most likely targets for Brad Stevens when it comes to shedding salary.
While both players played a key role in Boston’s run to a title in 2024, Holiday’s age (34) and Porzingis’ health could make them assets worth moving on from.
