The Jrue Holiday trade has been changed, reportedly due to Holiday’s medicals

The Celtics’ slew of offseason transactions can finally be made official, and there’s one big change from what was previously reported.

Initially, the Celtics reportedly agreed to trade Jrue Holiday for Anfernee Simons and two second-round picks, but those picks are no longer headed to Boston.

The two second-round picks have been removed from the deal due to Holiday’s medicals, Aaron Fentress of the Oregonian first reported.

“According to the source, a recent review of Holiday’s medicals revealed nothing substantial enough to warrant the trade being negated. However, there was enough there to lead the Blazers to slightly alter the terms of the deal.
