The Maine Celtics, the Boston Celtics’ G League organization, announced on Twitter that they have signed Robert Woodard II to a contract. Woodard spent last season with the Memphis Hustle and Delaware Blue Coats but hasn’t played in the G League yet this season. Maine signed him from the available players pool. The addition comes not long after they brought Keon Johnson on board at the end of November.
Last season, Woodard appeared in 38 G League games between both organizations, playing 20.7 minutes per contest. He averaged 7.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while shooting 37.
