The Boston Celtics have made major moves this offseason, and they have lost Marcus Smart and Grant Williams and only replaced them with Kristaps Porzingis. To no one’s surprise, Celtics fans have celebrated these moves and applauded Brad Stevens for his work.
Ultimately, Celtics fans are unable to pull back the curtain and examine the offseason to this point. When you pull back the curtain, you will see that the offseason has been wildly overrated.
The simple fact of this offseason so far for the Cs is that they got worse. Replacing Smart and Williams with Porzingis does not make you a better team.
