As the sordid mess at the University of Louisville allegedly involving strippers and prostitutes being provided to recruits is sorted out, there has been near universal opinion expressed by NBA people that Rick Pitino did not know that such incidents were taking place — if, in fact they were. (We add the last part to be technically correct, but the mountain of evidence is certainly weighing heavily in favor of the charges.)
With the kind of money involved, it appears that a well-heeled booster of some sort was funneling money through team staffer Andre McGee. But even if Pitino was kept entirely in the dark on this, he may still be in trouble with the NCAA.
