DALLAS – Outside of practice, Jae Crowder didn’t get much of an opportunity to play when he was on the Dallas Mavericks’ roster. When he came to the Celtics last December in a deal that revolved around Rajon Rondo going to Dallas, Crowder was just playing 10.6 minutes a game. You had to be an NBA junkie to know a lot about his game.

Brad Stevens didn’t really know what the Celtics were getting at the time either. Exactly how much did he know about Crowder’s game?

“None,” Stevens said.
