Sources tell CelticsBlog’s Keith Smith that the Boston Celtics have tendered a qualifying offer to second year player Jabari Bird. Bird is now a restricted free agent and Boston can match any offer sheet he signs with another club.

The Boston Celtics have tendered a qualifying offer to two-way player Jabari Bird. He's now a restricted free agent. The Celtics can match any offer sheet Bird signs with another team. If he signs the QO, he'll return on a second two-way contract.

Bird was drafted in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft out of the University of California.
