Report: Celtics renounce draft rights to Marcus Thornton

The Boston Celtics have renounced the draft rights to Marcus Thornton. He was drafted in 2015 out of William & Mary. Thornton is now a FA.

Sources tell CelticsBlog that the Celtics have renounced the draft rights to Marcus Thornton. Thornton was drafted with the 15th pick of the second round (45th overall) in 2015. Thornton played at William & Mary in college.

Since being drafted, Thornton has played for Sydney in the NBL in Australia in 2015-16 and for Consultinvest VL Pesaro in Lega A in Italy in 2016-17.
