Kelly Olynyk took a hit on his right (shooting) shoulder from the Clippers' DeAndre Jordan last Wednesday that turning out to be a little more complicated than originaly thought. He won't play Friday against the Jazz or most likely Sunday in Denver, according to Celtics coach Brad Stevens.
The Celtics forward was in Los Angeles today getting a second opinion on the shoulder, which had originally been diagnosed as a bruise during Olynyk's visit to New England Baptist Hospital.
Though team president Danny Ainge had said during a radio interview that the team expected to be "fine," Olynyk continued to experience soreness after going back to Toronto to enjoy all-star weekend in his hometown.
