The Los Angeles Clippers are acquiring John Colllins from the Utah Jazz in a deal that also sends Norman Powell to the Miami Heat. The Clippers add a very solid wing, while the Heat get an offensive boost on the wing.
For the Jazz, the deal appears to be a salary dump of the remaining money owed on Collins' contract. The Clippers are rumored to be pursuing Bradley Beal once he reaches a buyout with the Phoenix Suns. Moving Powell likely makes Los Angeles more attractive to Beal who hasn't enjoyed a reduced usage role in Phoenix.
BREAKING: The Clippers, Jazz and Heat have agreed to a trade that sends Norman Powell to Miami, John Collins to Los Angeles, and Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and a 2027 Clippers second-round pick to the Jazz, sources tell ESPN.
