NBA, WNBA first pro leagues with float in NYC pride parade

NEW YORK — NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and WNBA President Lisa Borders marched in New York City's pride parade Sunday.

The two leagues became the first pro sports organization to have a float in the parade.

Silver and deputy commissioner Mark Tatum both wore "#OrlandoUnited" shirts to show their support for victims of the night club attack earlier this month.

The NBA and WNBA have done a lot to try and help victims of the Orlando shooting. From financial donations to blood drives and silent auctions, the WNBA and its players have been lending their support to those affected by the massacre.
