Kyrie Irving scores 13 in Team LeBron win, knee “felt great”

The All-Star Game has become a highlight reel of thunderous dunks and three-point bombs, but for Kyrie Irving, his sixth time to the mid-season classic was an uneventful trip to Charlotte. And that’s exactly what the star and his team hoped for.

After missing the last two games heading into the break to a sprained knee, there was some question as to whether or not Irving would participate in Sunday’s showcase. But after coaching the Special Olympics Unified Game and the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night and feeling good enough to participate in the All Star Game, Irving turned in a ho-hum performance as a starter for Team LeBron in a 178-164 win.
