CLEVELAND — The NBA, as the Celtics were reminded in rather rude fashion today, is all about talent on most nights.
The Celtics simply didn’t have the necessary power to match Cleveland in today’s 113-100 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.
LeBron James had what, for him, was an average afternoon with 20 points and seven assists. But Kyrie Irving continued his career-long torment of the Celtics with 30 points, including 5-for-8 from behind the 3-point arc. Kevin Love rounded out Cleveland’s Big Three scoring with 13 of his 19 points in the second half.
