Well, it was nine minutes, but it was the first nine minutes of the game. Luis Scola went nuts in the first quarter, posting 17 points in just over nine minutes. He hit seven of his nine field goal attempts, including 3-for-4 on 3-pointers.
Scola’s effort helped the Raptors close the quarter with a 30-14 lead, as the Celtics hit just six shots in the period. Boston’s 14 points marked the lowest first quarter total the Raptors have allowed all season to date.
Scola checked back at the 2:47 mark of the second… but he didn’t score again in the game.
