WALTHAM — The Celtics need shooting, and Kentucky’s Jamal Murray, who might be the best shooter in the June 23 draft, had just missed three of his first 10 3-pointers.
Seventy percent is good for most, but the guard has a higher standard.
“I shouldn’t be going 7-for-10. I shouldn’t be hitting three and missing one,” Murray said after completion of his one-on-none workout for the Celtics staff yesterday.
But it got significantly better, which is why, without a lot of bravado, Murray said he considers himself the best player on the draft board, Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram be damned.
