Kendrick Perkins is back in professional basketball, but not in the NBA quite yet.
The veteran center is continuing his comeback with the Canton Charge, the Cleveland Cavaliers' G-League affiliate. The 2008 NBA champion hasn't played in the NBA since 2015-16, when he joined the New Orleans Pelicans for 37 games.
Perkins took part in the Cavs' training camp this year on a non-guaranteed deal. However, he was never expected to make the Cleveland's opening night roster, particularly after the acquisition of Dwyane Wade.
