Jrue Holiday won his second Sportsmanship Award and became the first Celtics player to receive the honor, the NBA announced on Thursday.
The guard was given the accolade when he was with the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2020-21 season. By collecting this award again, Holiday becomes the fifth player to win it multiple times, joining Mike Conley, Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, and Kemba Walker.
“In my experience, some of the best competitors are those who pair a quiet confidence with humility, show respect for the competition with their own preparation and work, and have the stamina to navigate the ups and downs of a season with grit and perspective,” said Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens.
