Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla called Jayson Tatum’s right wrist injury “severe” during an interview with Zolak & Bertrand on Thursday.
Tatum landed hard late in Game 1 and missed Game 2 as a result. Mazzulla said there’s definitely “a chance” Tatum plays in Friday’s Game 3, but he made it clear it’s not a guarantee.
He’s officially listed as doubtful as of Thursday evening.
“He’s dealing with a severe bone bruise,” Mazzulla said. “He’s day to day. He’s progressively gotten a little bit better each day. Yesterday, he went through all the protocols and did everything he could possibly do up until the last moment to try and play.
