Jaylen Brown ruled out vs. Miami Heat

Ahead of Monday’s first leg of a home-and-home series with the Miami Heat, the Celtics are nearing 100 percent, but still won’t have all their assets at their disposal. They will be without a key contributor, Jaylen Brown, who appeared on the injury report earlier in the day with low back spasms.

Brown hasn’t missed much time this season. He has sat out only five games with the last time coming on December 12th versus the Washington Wizards. There isn’t a cause to be overly concerned with Brown missing the game – the Celtics have used caution with its top players in the rotation during the stretch run and with the playoffs on the horizon – but the suddenness of the injury is a bit surprising.
