Javonte Green undergoes successful knee procedure

The Boston Celtics announced that guard Javonte Green underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his right knee Tuesday due to a small meniscal tear.

Green had the operation done not inside the NBA bubble in Orlando or even in Florida, but back in Boston at New England Baptist Hospital. Green is expected to rejoin the Celtics at some point this week — he’ll have to go through the NBA’s COVID-19 quarantine protocols upon his return — and is expected to get back on the court for basketball activities in two to three weeks.

Green will rejoin the team in Orlando within the week and is expected to return to basketball activities in 2-3 weeks.
