It seems like forever ago, but in 2011 Isaiah Thomas was drafted by the Sacramento Kings as the 60th overall pick, (the last pick in the draft). It’s hard to believe a player of his caliber was passed up on 59 times, but then you remember well, he is 5’9’’. The NFL’s “Mr. Irrelevant” NBA equivalent didn’t take long to become relevant, in February he won Western Conference Rookie of the Month and began making a name for himself, outside of having the same name as another hall of fame point guard. The proven scorer, who averaged 20.3 ppg for the Kings in 2013-14 agreed to a sign and trade for 4 years at $27 mil.
Isaiah Thomas will play against Sacramento tonight, the team Celtics fans should be thanking
