Heat guard Jaime Jaquez Jr. will miss Game 5 of the Miami’s opening-round series against the Celtics with a right hip flexor strain, the team announced.
Jaquez told reporters after Game 4 that he “felt something give in the hip,” early in the third quarter. He said he tried to play through the injury, but wound up playing just 22 minutes which was his lowest total of the series.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound rookie has started every game of this series. Game 4 dragged his minutes per game average down to 30.
