It’s been just under two weeks since news broke of Grant Williams leaving the Boston Celtics via sign-and-trade. On July 5, multiple reports surfaced indicating that Williams was joining the Dallas Mavericks.
The Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach recently caught up with the 24-year-old. He detailed a conversation where Williams opened up about his departure from the Celtics. One of the main talking points was his relationship with Boston’s head coach Joe Mazzulla.
“The thing is, professionally you can always have different opinions, different outlooks about yourself and the team,” Williams said, per Himmelsbach.
