Former Celtics champion just found new basketball home

Former Boston Celtics forward Oshae Brissett is headed to a new basketball home. The forward signed a two-year contract to join Maccabi Tel Aviv, an Israeli EuroLeague team, this week.

The former Syracuse standout was a part of the 2024 NBA Championship team in Boston. He appeared in 55 games for the Cs, playing about 11.5 minutes in each outing. Brissett averaged 3.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game while shooting 44.4% from the field and 27.3% from beyond the arc.

While he didn’t have a consistent role within head coach Joe Mazzulla’s rotation, Brissett could always be relied on to play hard anytime he was on the floor.
