I'm surprised this took that long for the TD Garden to announce. The Garden seats just under 20,000 people and obviously is an indoor event. We are going into flu season to boot. Like every announcement made during the COVID pandemic, it's a temporary measure. Restrictions could loosen up, get tighter, or be removed.
